Sunday lunch with ketchup!

Another quieter day today. Naomi is having a sleep this afternoon as Rachel swapped with me to stay the week. Naomi wanted ketchup with lunch... another sign she is on the mend. Her lungs sounded better today although she still needs oxygen to maintain her saturation levels. This may change once she is able to be more upright, after she gets her new brace which we are hoping she will go to the Plaster Theatre for on Tuesday. Adding this an hour later, Rachel has phoned me to say her Anaesthetist has taken away her oxygen when she is awake... a huge step forward. She has also had her hair washed, and her 30cm scar re-dressed.

It was so lovely hearing your voice on the phone today, Naomi. You sounded like your usually chatty self and thank you for sending me hugs and kisses down the phone. I was standing outside my church when we spoken and so I was able to tell my friends that I had talked with you. They were pleased to hear that you are able to take the oxygen mask off during the day.

We'll keep praying for you, especially your lungs, and will look forward to news of all the progress you make this coming week.

More love and hugs

Hi Naomi, we are so pleased to hear about the progress you are making and in particular that you don't have to use the oxygen mask whilst you are awake. We are continuing to pray for you and of course for your mum,dad and for Luke too - I bet you were pleased to see him at the weekend. In case you don't know what my nickname means - Placko - it means old man in Albania. That is what people call me when I go to Albania but the truth is I'm not really old - honest!!!! Anyway do keep on getting better you are a great inspiration to us and many people. With love and prayers, Susan and David xx
